We are a family of 4 who have relocated to Boulder from Portland, OR this past summer. We hope to build a great relationship with a nanny who can help bring some stability and organization during a time of big transition for our family, as we begin 2 new jobs and our near 6-year-old continues her kindergarten year, all in a new home environment and new community!
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for an excellent communicator who is as much organized, proactive and responsible as she is creative, nurturing and attentive. The ideal nanny for our family will help establish a daily routine while offering new developmental experiences for our 2 year old each weekday, as well as after-school care for our 5 year old during her transition into public kindergarten in a totally new environment. Keeping a fun and entertaining but highly organized home is a priority for our family; we are looking for a nanny who shares these values and will engage the children in helping with daily life activities like clean up, meal prep, etc. Knowledge of emotional and physical skill development at various ages and stages, and a calm, positive approach to discipline are also important!
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our 2 girls (almost 6 years) and (2 years) are happy and independent, and also beginning to play very well together. They are at their best when they are in a set routine that involves lots of outside time, art, singing and games. Care will primarily be for our 2 year old during the day, with after-school care for our older child.
Describe your home setting: We live in a beautiful recently renovated home in South Boulder (1/2 block to Viele Lake), walking distance to the elementary school and parks, as well as a very short drive to groceries/other amenities.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Must be experienced in House Manager duties. Keeping the place picked up, meal prep, family laundry, groceries, errands, toys picked up and put away at the end of the day, floors swept, kitchen clean, willing to help with whatever is needed! The children will always come first!
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Reading, art, singing, parks, walks, nature exploration, no screen time. We would like our 2 year old to have fairly frequent opportunities to socialize with other children (story time, play group, etc. and are looking for a nanny who knows the area and can recommend opportunities.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR & First Aid certified.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Hours range 50-55 hours per week. Monday through Friday between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. 1.5 for over 40 hours! Start ASAP!
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$1375-$1500+ /Wk ($25 per hour - 1.5 for over 40 hours) Vacation, Major Holidays, PTO/Sick, Performance Bonus.
