My husband and I are very focused on family and prioritize spending time with our four year old son! Although we are working professionals, we always keep family top of mind and enjoy having fun adventures (large and small) with our son, extended family and friends. All three of us are Colorado natives and enjoy everything our lovely state and community has to offer. We are also very active on non-profit boards and involved in the community. We have the utmost respect for the nannies that work with us and are looking for someone who can join the team (our current nanny will be moving back home and so we will have a coordinated transition period and have flexibility on a fast or somewhat extended start date).
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
As noted, our current primary nanny will be moving back home to Minnesota and so we are looking to integrate a new nanny to care for our son. We have an excellent working relationship with our current nanny and we are flexible on a transition plan as she is committed to making it a smooth process, as are we.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have one 4 year old son. Our son is happy, sweet, outgoing and inquisitive! He is super bright and also has minor autism/sensory issues, so we need someone who has background/experience in this area and is comfortable with it, including the ability to provide a supportive structure and the ability to work with him when frustrated.
Describe your home setting: We (mom, dad and our son) live in a single-family home in Boulder, which is tidy, neat and organized. We have lots of craft supplies, a SUV the nannies use when here, near-by parks/trails, a playroom, etc. We do have Nest cameras in our home as part of our security system.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Light housekeeping and organizing (e.g., keeping the home neat and tidy as you will find it in the mornings), some laundry and some cooking. More of these activities will fill your time as the amount of hours our son is in school increases. To fill the 35 hours once he starts kindergarten, we will have more House Manager activities within the job role.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We like to create structure for our son, but in the context of play, fun, learning, boundaries and activities. We seek someone who enjoys creative play, arts & crafts, reading, music, outings to parks, walks with our son in the neighborhood, etc. We are also focusing on giving him strong gross and fine motor skills to support learning, including working on writing and, ideally in the future, reading!
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR & First Aid. The ideal candidate is someone with an early childhood educational background who is a college graduate, although it is not required. Having experience in a classroom or similar setting would be a bonus. Also, experience with children with mild autism or sensory issues.

Now To May: M: 8 to 6 pm; T-Th: 8-12:30 & 2:30-6pm. Mid May: M-F Afternoons - Can guarantee 35 hours. Mid-Aug/School Starts On: Appox. 1:30 to 6pm M-F; can guarantee 30 hrs. w/House Manager duties or occasional sick day/days off from school coverage. Would love someone flexible!
