We are a loving, Christian and very busy family. We are both physicians with demanding jobs that can require long hours. When we are home we love to play, hike and dance with our girls. We try to be outside as much as possible and live healthy lifestyles.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
With our schedules, we rely on a nanny to help provide a loving, safe and nurturing environment for our girls while at work. Our past nannies have become part of our family and cherished by us and our girls. We are looking for someone we can trust, who is motivated to do more than the essentials, is active with the girls, and wants to help make our lives easier so that when we are home it can be spent as quality time with the girls.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have two girls - a 5 year old who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall and a 2 year old who stays home. We are also expecting a third baby girl this Winter.
Describe your home setting: We live in a home at the end of a cul-de-sac, with a large backyard, in a great neighborhood lined with trails and green space. There are a lot of nearby parks and a community pool in the summer.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We would need help with some household tasks related to the girls: their laundry, picking up after them, loading the dishwasher, occasional meal prep, occasional grocery order pick-up, taking them to activities, etc. I'm also assuming that there may be some version of virtual Kindergarten this fall, so guidance with school-work is also likely needed.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We hope each day to be filled with reading, music (in any form, the girls love to dance and sing), physical play, outside time, imaginative play and educational learning. They also love crafts, drawing and art projects. We strongly support trips to the pool, zoo, museum, parks, etc. The girls also have music class, tumbling class and our eldest is in ballet and learning the cello.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
We require CPR and First Aid Certification, Tdap and Flu shot vaccinations (family will pay for vaccinations if not current).
We would also love someone who has experience with newborns, safe-sleeping practices and preparing breastmilk bottles. We are currently potty-training our 2 yo, so experience with that is also a plus! For safe driving record and experience driving children. We will provide car seats that we expect to be appropriately used at all times.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We are looking for a long-term nanny, hopefully for the next couple of years. We would love to find someone that we can build a strong relationship with and will become part of our family. We are offering a full time position, but need someone who can be flexible with the hours. Due to the nature of my job, my work hours vary weekly, therefore hours can range between 35-50/week. We can discuss what works best for us both and settle on a minimum number of hours guaranteed. A couple times a month we do need a 6:30am start time, otherwise most days are between 7 and 8am. Days typically end by 4 or 5pm, but may need to go until 6pm. Occasionally, an emergent situation may arise with out work leading to later times than expected. We luckily no longer require any weekend hours, but would love an occasional date night.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$25/hr until new baby is born in November, then the pay will increase to $27/hr. We will offer time-and-a-half pay for overtime (over hours 40/week). Vacation, Major Holidays, Paid sick days to be to negotiated. Performance bonus.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
We currently do not have any animals.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We need someone who is reliable, punctual and communicates openly. We want to be able to trust that our girls are in good hands - that they are well cared for and cared about, safe and nurtured. We believe in consistent, but gentle discipline, which can often be achieved with redirection. We want someone who is fully engaged in their learning and activities, with little to no screen time. We appreciate and encourage healthy eating habits. We love for the girls to learn about different cultures, religions, foods, places/travel, etc and how to show kindness and generosity. Our girls are really sweet, bright, inquisitive, happy children that we hope capture your heart!
