We are a family of four, with two daughters ages 3 and 4. No pets right now, though we love dogs!
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Dad is active duty and Mom works full time. Mom's job took her to Denver, Dad's took him to San Diego. Mom could use some help with the girls! We would like someone who wants to be a part of the family and be a mentor to the girls. (Just in case this raises questions: Mom and Dad are absolutely still happily married, this is just what we have had to do to keep two careers on track when one of those careers is in the military.)
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have two girls, ages 3 and 4. They have full time day care, we need some help in the evenings and weekends. Specific days/times are negotiable, it's just something to get Mom some time back.
Describe your home setting: Dad is in San Diego and will deploy frequently. Mom works full time in Denver. We're able to get everyone together about once a month.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
For the kids we need help with pickup from day care, bedtime, and outdoor/educational/weekend activities. The girls aren't currently involved in any extracurricular activities, but we are planning on enrolling them in sports and piano lessons in the near future. We could use help getting them to/from those activities once we are able to get those going. We need you to be able to drive and we have an extra car if you want to use it. For the House Manager duties help with light cleaning (especially getting the girls to pick up after themselves), laundry, grocery shopping, errands, meal prep/cooking, anything needed!
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
We are really looking for a mentor for the girls, not just a babysitter. We want a partner - someone who will help them grow intellectually and emotionally. We would love to find someone who will enjoy taking them to the park, get exercise, play games, help them learn to read, and eat reasonably nutritious/healthy meals. Our goal is to raise educated, physically fit, socially skilled, and emotionally resilient young ladies who are set up for success when they get to college and beyond.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR & First Aid Certifications, someone who shares most of our values and wants to be an integral part of our girl's lives.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We're looking for 20 hours a week, though specifics including weekly schedule can be negotiated. We would like to commit to a full year and potentially beyond if the situation is a good fit for both you and the girls.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$26-30/hour with vacation time, major holidays, sick days. When we talk, please feel free to tell us your needs/desires. We are absolutely willing to negotiate if you have things that are really important to you. Again, the goal is to get the girls a mentor and give Mom some time back.

We want a partner - someone who will emotionally invest in the girls and help us raise them to be successful adults.
