Please describe your family:
We are a Mom, Dad, 3 year old girl and 5 month old boy. We enjoy the great outdoor space our home offers, as well as the nearby open/green space, horses and farm. Our three year old is very curious, loves art projects, harvesting/preparing garden vegetables and imaginative play (even though we have not traveled during COVID, she has taken us on many trips to far away places). Our 5 month old is so sweet and loves interacting with the world around him. We are mindful (trying our best!) to raise our children with respectful parenting and connect with Montessori, Waldorf and Emilia Reggio principles (a balanced combination of reality, chores and creative play). As parents we want to instill empathy, celebrate different cultures and families, and the importance of eating well and taking care of mind/body/spirit.
We each have our own office space in the home, away from the main living areas.
**COVID: Dad's parents are at risk individuals. We do take COVID seriously and wear masks when in populated areas. We social distance in our small social circles outside.**
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a great nanny to provide a loving and engaging environment for our children while we work from home. We are looking for someone to help set the routine for a more predictable day and would love to have someone that is educated and experienced with helping us establish and maintain a schedule as well as provide age appropriate instructional activities for our children to flourish.
Since our infant naps about 4 hours a day, our nanny partner will primarily be with our 3 year old. I expect between 3-5 hours a week would be in house assistant duties such as folding clothes or meal prepping when not attending to children (i.e. I would love to spend one-on-one time with our children w/o splitting attention between childcare and household activities).
And it would be nice to have a few hours a month dedicated for Mom and Dad to have date days or an evening w/o the children.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our three year old girl is very curious, independent, loves art projects, harvesting/preparing garden vegetables, helping in the kitchen, going on walks, exploring nature, yoga, as well as imaginative play. She eats a variety of foods and asks many questions about where things come from.
Our 5 month old is so sweet, loves to observe and is becoming more mobile (has not quite rolled over yet, but is almost sitting up on his own and seems to be very curious at meal time). His nap schedule is from 9-11am and 2-4p.
Describe your home setting:
We feel very lucky to have an incredible outdoor space. Our home sits on a hill and looks out west to the mountains. Our lot is fenced with a driveway gate and there are lots of areas to explore including our daughter's "forest", her playhouse, large sandpit and a front lawn to run in.
Our home is two stories. The main living area, playroom and kitchen are on the top floor with lots of natural light and an open kitchen/living area. Mom and Dad's offices are downstairs.
Neighborhood offers lots of amazing opportunities to explore nature, green space and trails. You could easily take our 3 year old on a 2 hour outing just in our neighborhood.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Provide engaging activities that are age appropriate for our children. Both in home, outside and around the neighborhood.
Snack and lunch preparation for children.Tidying throughout the day. Cleaning any dishes/placing them in the dishwasher.
Some House Assistant duties such as: folding laundry, putting children's laundry away, dinner meal prep (i.e. turn on rice machine, cutting veggies). We would like to spend undivided attention with kids and this can be an opportunity for Mom/Dad while nanny helps us catch up.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
While infant naps, facilitate in age appropriate activities for 3 year old.
Work towards unstructured/independent play times throughout the day.
3 year old likes to "help" in kitchen!
Engaging with our baby to help development along. i.e. mat time to move body.
Reading, art projects.
Outdoor time (extreme weather/temperature permitting)/ walks to nearby nature area.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
Child/Infant CPR & First Aid, Infant and Preschool Experience.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Open to 24-32 hours a week. Flexible on the days between M-F with occasional evenings and weekends and how it is structured.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$25-$30/hour. Gas stipend when kids are in the car, Health insurance stipend, Vacation, Sick days,
Paid holidays.
