We are a family of four with two girls 13 months apart. My husband and I met on Match.Com almost two years ago. I was pregnant after four months of meeting, we were married after 8 months, and we had our 2nd girl just a few weeks ago. So we moved fast! We are both in our 40s so when we met we just knew that we were meant to be together as we had experience at that point with many other relationships! I grew up in Boulder, Colorado but left for a long time to attend Boston University and then live in Hollywood for 10 years photographing for magazines such as ESPN and People. I decided to move back 10 years ago for a better lifestyle and shift in my career. I now own a photo studio where I focus on local portraiture work and rent out my studio to other filmmakers and photographers. My husband has lived all around the world and moved to Boulder after we met. He works for a home leasing company and is one of their superintendents.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
My husband works full time in the field so he is rarely home during the day. I sometimes work from my home office, but other times I have a photoshoot or need to work from the studio which is across town from our house. I cannot do this with two babies at home. I am freelance, but would like to be able to tell my clients what days of the week I am available for photoshoots. We both have a pretty fast-paced lifestyle so we also need help with chores around the house.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our oldest daughter is 14 months old and is a total character. From week 1 she was cracking us up with her hilarious facial expressions and quirky personality. She isshy at first, but quickly warms up, and one thing we hear over and over is that she's funny, entertaining, and happy. She does not like to be overlooked and is always observing. She's a toddler so she is curious about everything! Our 2nd daughter is only three weeks old so we are still getting to know who she is. Right now she just mostly sleeps and eats!
Describe your home setting: We have a two-floor house in South Boulder with a big backyard for play. We also live close to multiple parks and fields within walking distance. We are in the process of converting a room into a playroom. My office is downstairs for separation.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We expect our Nanny/House Manager to do light house keeping, cleaning up after the kids including their toys, rooms, laundry dishes etc. meal prep/cooking healthy, balanced meals for our toddler and anything else that is needed to help run the household!
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Walks outside weather permitting. Play in the backyard. We would love both of our girls to get at least 20 minutes of sunshine everyday. We have educational toys for our toddler that can be used. Reading of books. Dancing to music. Anything artistic. We stay away from the TV and any electronical devices. Communicating with us clearly about what the kids are up to (sending pics is especially appreciated!), and being open about good and bad days.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR/ First Aid certifications. Newborn and toddler experience. Nanny House Manager experience. Additional Education and additional Certifications a plus!

When will this position be available?
How many hours do you need a nanny for?
M-F PART TIME - 20 hours a week guaranteed. Would like at least one full day per week (between M-W) and are flexible with how the other hours are decided.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$25-$30 per hour. Vacation, Major Holidays, Sick Days and Performance Bonus.

Great attitude. Organized. Someone to become a part of our family, and help support us as parents.
Additional comments:
We would love someone who is active, engaged, dependable, loving and feels comfortable with open communication at all times! An educational background is a plus. We would love someone who not only loves children, but loves having fun with them in art, music and reading. We are open to developing a schedule that can be permanent with the occasional flexibility as needed!
