Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5678
Location: Boulder, CO

Please describe your family:
We are a family of 4 - soon to be 5 - in Boulder CO. My husband and I have identical twin girls who will be 3 in March. We have one sweet and energetic Australian Shepherd, 7 chickens, and will add a baby boy to the group towards the end of April.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We're a busy family with both mom and dad working full time, and will have 3 kids under 4 in the coming months.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our (almost) 3 year old twin girls are delightful! They are fun and outgoing. They like baking, art projects, picnics, playing outside, building things, dress up, music, and dancing.
When our baby arrives in April, I will be on maternity leave, and will continue to be on leave for 3-5 months after that. Eventually, our nanny will watch all three kids during the day when I am back to work full time.

Describe your home setting: We all live together in a single story house in Boulder, on an acre of land. We have a big front and back yard, we grow vegetables/pumpkins/sunflowers in the summer, and we have 7 chickens that the girls love to help take care of.

We are interested in the following:
Babysitter
Nanny, Permanent

Full-Time/Part-Time?
Full-time

How long do you need a Nanny?
1 Year

Live-in/Live-out?
Nanny, live-out

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We'd like our nanny to make healthy snacks and meals for the kids. Housekeeping duties would be mostly limited to things involving the kids things/spaces - helping to keep their rooms and play areas tidy - occasionally sorting through things not being used, etc to donate, washing/folding their laundry, and keeping their outdoor toys organized. We'd ask that, for the sake of flow/tidiness, because the kitchen is a central area of the house, that the nanny also help loading and unloading the dishwasher/sink. In general, we'd hope/ask that our space is left at least as tidy as it was when the day started (within reason, it can be hard with multiple toddlers ;) ) While we are on COVID lockdown, our girls are not out at appointments/at the library/going to community activities. As that lifts, we may enroll them in art or dance classes, and could ask our nanny to help take them/pick them up occasionally.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Cooking/baking, creative/imaginative play, nature walks, picnics, reading books, new/fun art projects and experiments, gardening, etc. Lots of outside play when the weather permits.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR and First Aid certified. Preschool age and Infant experience. Multiples and Preschool experience a plus but not required!

Does this position require a valid driver's license?
Yes

Does this position require a car?
Yes

When will this position be available?
Start date is flexible

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
7 hours a day, 5 days a week (9:30-4:30 M-F). Potential for 40 hours - negotiable. Would love a nanny available for a longer term!

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$25-$28/hour. Vacation, Major Holidays, Sick Days, Performance Bonus!

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
We have one sweet and energetic Australian Shepherd, 7 chickens.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Our ideal nanny would be experienced, punctual, reliable, easy going, and energetic. Someone who is patient and compassionate, who has an easy communication style with both parents and kids. Finally, someone who comes to work everyday ready to hang with kids in a thoughtful and intentional way.

Additional comments:
While we are fortunate to be in good health with no high risk conditions (except for pregnancy), we take the coronavirus pandemic seriously. We look forward to having our whole family vaccinated and would ask that our nanny make it a priority (when the resources are available of course) to be vaccinated as well. It is also important to us to feel comfortable with our nanny's social distancing practices/policies until that time, given that we spend a lot of time with my mom/the kids grandmother AND because we will have an infant.
