Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5679
Location: Erie, CO

Please describe your family:
We are an energetic family of four with a love of nature, movement, laughter, and exploratory play. Our daughters are 7-years-old and 15 months, and while there is an age gap, they play well together and our oldest is a natural big sister with a knack for including her sis and helping her explore new things.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Both parents work full time jobs and as we wind down the school year we are looking for a nanny to help us ASAP and stay throughout the summer. Our ideal nanny is someone who can help provide loving care, fun activities, play dates, snacks and meals, and help with the final few months of our daughter’s 1st grade year. (Note: She is very comfortable with online schooling and does not require a lot of hand holding. Our past nanny was a teacher and helped her with her lessons, and if possible we would like you to help her within your comfort zone)

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
7-year-old girl: Fun, energetic, creative girl who is full of energy, friendship, and wonder. She’s a doer, extremely self sufficient, and very empathetic. She’s had nannies throughout the years and is very understanding when it comes to trusting and respecting care givers. She has her days like everyone, but is very self-aware of her feelings and when she needs to step back and regroup.

15-month-old girl: The little sister who knows she’s got to keep up with her big sis. She is a keeper! Full of life, laughter, opinions, creativity, and play. Four small teeth currently in a smile that makes you remember the world’s okay. Strong sleeper and eater and when not chasing her sister, okay to sit and play alone.

Describe your home setting: We live in a beautiful, naturally lit, two story house with a kids-oriented backyard including trampoline, sandbox, grass, wading pool and miles of paths and trails nearby. Big sweeping views of the mountain’s are our backdrop, and there’s several parks within close walking distance. Our daughters have their own playroom and school room, and the open floor plan provides the ability to be cooking with the kids and not be wondering if someone just ate the play-doh. We have access to shops, rec centers, and libraries nearby and as the world comes back online, plan to have access to those. Both parents work from home but have their own offices, and we’ve been working in this capacity since last March and the kids understand the boundaries while parents are working.

During the summer months we may ask to help us drive our oldest to and from camp on days she is away, and also be open to going to pools, libraries, rec centers, parks, etc. if Covid appropriate. We are also looking to have help with preparing the kids snacks and meals, helping keep the kitchen clean during the day, helping with the children's laundry, and keeping the playroom tidy.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Playing outside, reading, playing games, riding bikes, going to the park, swimming, reading time at the library if covid-safe, walks, school work (during school) and hanging out.
