We’re a family of 3 with one dog. Both parents work in tech, often from home. Dad’s a product designer at Google. Mom works in ecommerce at an animal health company. As a family we’re playful, curious, and accepting of everyone. We’ve lived around the world. We love learning, hiking, technology, water sports and adventure. We’re moving to Boulder in April can’t wait to enjoy the active, outdoor lifestyle. Both parents have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We’re looking for a experience full-time Nanny/House Manager to join our family and keep our 5 year old son active, engaged and nurtured after school… and our house, meals and family routine peacefully organized. Mom/Dad have busy jobs and are also involved parents.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have one energetic 5-year old son who will be starting kindergarten in September. He’s very active, social,confident, playful… and quite a jokester. As an outgoing only child he needs a lot of engagement which includes after school play dates and activities. He’s bright and curious, loves experimenting, reading and making things. He's been in spanish-immersion montessori preschool, so has a good language foundation and is kind with children of all ages.
Describe your home setting: We live in a quiet family neighborhood in South Boulder, in a 5,000 square foot house with a large back yard. Parents work from home in separate offices. Our house is ~15 minute walking distance from parks, trails, school, library, Whole Foods.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
School pickup, arranging/driving to after school playdates and activities, light housekeeping, laundry, cooking, dishes, shopping, errands, organization. Anything needed!
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Outdoor activities (like playground, hiking, bike park, swimming, etc.), short reading and math lessons (<1 hour daily) and a range of engaging developmental activities including reading to him, make believe play, arts & crafts, playing with building toys (legos, brio, etc.), science experiments, supervise play dates.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
Great driving record, COVID safety precautions, CPR and First Aid, Swimmer, Spanish preferred but not required!

Start date is flexible
How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Monday through Friday 40 hours per week which includes a flexible date night. 10am to 6pm 4 days/week- the other day will include date night 1pm-9pm, with some occasional flexibility.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$25 to $32 per hour based on experience and willingness to take on household tasks. Vacation, major holidays, sick days, health stipend, potential for travel, bonus. We treat our nanny the way we want to be treated and have always had wonderful experiences!
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
One 52 pound dog, australian/german shepherd mix, 11 years old.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Open and proactive communicator, natural connection with our son, patient, compassionate, fun, organized / structured but also flexible to adapt changes, able to be firm and set boundaries with respectful/no shame approach, someone who can turn everyday activities into learning moments and make reading/math fun.
