Emily - $30/hr Exp. Full Time Nanny/House Manager For Awesome Family!

Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5690
Location: Boulder, CO

Please describe your family:
We are an adventurous, outdoorsy family of three. Our son is 20 months old and is a very happy and
hilarious little guy, and his little brother is arriving in August! Mom and Dad are both entrepreneurs
running social impact companies (we have an office down the street but often work from home as well).
We spend our weekends camping and hiking, are very close with our extended family and friends, are
environmentally-conscious, and love biking and romping around our neighborhood in downtown Boulder.
We also love to travel (pre/ post-covid).

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We're looking for a Full-Time Nanny/House Manager to run the show for our house! As entrepreneurs we work quite a bit (~50 hr/week) so we are looking for someone who can first and foremost give our kiddos great care in a fun and learning-oriented environment, and help manage other aspects of our house.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our son is 20 months old and is a very goofy and happy little kid. He’s quite flexible – sleeps great wherever he is, does well with changes in schedule, etc. He loves spending time outside, be it walks around the block, hitting up the playgrounds, or hiking with us in the hiking backpack. He’s quite social and curious about other people and love to wave and say “Hi people!” to everyone he passes. He’s a chatterbox and is learning so many new words every day. We expect he’ll be starting preschool (at least half-day) in January. We don’t know what his little brother will be like yet, but we are excited to meet him and expect that the brothers will be good buds!

Describe your home setting: We live in downtown Boulder, just a couple blocks off of Pearl St. Our home is a sunny 4 BR with a front and side yard, and several distinct indoor play spaces on each of the three floors. We have a separate apartment behind our house for visitors, so while we do often have grandparents and other visitors, they have their own space. When we work from home, we each have separate upstairs offices.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?

$30/hr (standard schedule is 50 hours per week guaranteed, we pay overtime even when we are away). Includes all major holidays, $250 monthly health stipend, vacation and sick time, and annual bonus. Would like a nanny who can travel with us occasionally, all expenses with additional compensation. $300 Signing Bonus!

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
No.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We highly value our nanny’s role in the household and want someone that can rely on to make great decisions about the kids’ and household needs. We have a strong preference for a background in early childhood development/education (we love aspects of Montessori) because it is important to us that our nanny provide a learning environment for the kiddos as they grow. We are also looking for someone who is very active, and is excited to plan adventures outside the home, including outdoor activities and museums, music classes, reading time at the library, etc. Since we’ll have a newborn, experience and comfort with both infants and toddlers is a must. Communication is also VERY important to us. We want to be on a collaborative team with our nanny, which involves transparent, open communication and feedback both ways. Speaking another language is a plus but not required!
