Please describe your family:
We are a loving family of 3 (plus our labradoodle!), including Mom, Dad, and our 9.5 month old baby girl. Mom is an analytic consultant for a large healthcare company and also runs a nonprofit, Dad works for a commercial solar company. We all currently work from home most of the time (Dad will occasionally go into the office - which is fully vaccinated and not at full capacity). We love spending time together in the outdoors, and are raising our daughter to enjoy hikes and to respect nature. We find so much joy in food and have absolutely loved sharing that with her as well. That’s extending this year to our backyard garden, which is currently overflowing with squash and tomatoes! Someday we also hope to share with her our love of travel, new places and cultures, and meeting new people.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a full time nanny/house manager. While we have some family planning to be close within the next 6 months to a year, right now it’s just us here in Colorado. We want the time with our baby to be quality and not stressed with thoughts of chores and what’s next on the to-do list. First and foremost we are looking for a nanny that will be with our daughter while we are at work. We would also love some help with chores related to her (her laundry, lunch, toy pickup, etc.) and, as time permits, some help with groceries and meal prep etc.
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Our daughter is truly a 9.5 month old ball of light. She is the smiliest baby I have ever seen. She loves to be outside, to watch our dog, to explore new foods, and increasingly to be on the move! She is such a ham - known in our family for her funny faces!
Describe your home setting: We live in the Berkeley neighborhood, near the Highlands. We have 2 bedrooms on the main level, where our nanny and baby spend most of the day, and two offices in the basement where my husband and I work. We have a really awesome roof deck off the kitchen which is great for more private outdoor time, and a dog run-style yard with three large raised garden beds. We live just a few blocks from two lovely parks, both with lakes, plenty of grassy areas, and playgrounds.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Primarily, being with our daughter (see details below). But other than that, we would appreciate light housekeeping, doing the baby’s laundry, picking up toys, and washing bottles/pump parts as needed. We are hoping for a nanny that is very proactive in the baby’s meal times, helping with planning and prep for her, and feeding her during the hours you’re here. If time permits, we would greatly appreciate help with our groceries and meal prep.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Most importantly, we want our daughter to feel safe and cared for in her daily routine (snuggles, playing at home with toys, maintaining her schedule, putting her down for naps, being well fed, encouraging development, etc.). Beyond that, we want our daughter to be exposed to lots of outdoor time (walks, trips to the park, etc.), different stimulation (museums, zoos, etc.), reading and arts and crafts.
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR & First Aid Certified. Vaccination and COVID consciousness required.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
M-F 9-5, 40-hour weeks guaranteed. We would like someone who can commit to a year-long contract.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$25-$30/hour, we are hoping to make you feel like a part of our family! We offer paid vacation, paid holidays and sick days. Performance bonus.
Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
1 50 lb very friendly and smart labradoodle named Rigby.
What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for a career nanny that loves what they do and will love working with our daughter. We are hoping to expand our family in the next year, so experience with newborns and multiple children is a plus! We have a strong preference (not required) for a background in early childhood development/education (we love aspects of Montessori) because it is important to us that our nanny provide a learning environment for the kiddos as they grow. We are also looking for someone who is very active, and is excited to plan adventures outside the home, including outdoor activities and museums, music classes, reading time at the library, etc. Communication and boundaries are paramount! We prefer to have monthly meetings with our nanny to discuss feedback on both ends and plans for the coming month.
