Wendy - $30-$35 hr TEMP Full Time Nanny for Adorable 2 yr old! Mid July-October 31, 2022 Erie

Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5754
Location: Erie, CO

Please describe your family:
We are an active, easy going family of 3 in Erie, Co with two sweet cats. Mom and Dad both work from home in dedicated office areas, but we all prefer spending our time outside running, biking, and visiting local parks. We are Colorado natives, but love to travel and experience different cultures.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
Our awesome, full-time nanny is about to have a baby of her own, so we’re looking for a nanny to cover her maternity leave (with some overlap for training) from mid-July through October. We love the one-on-one attention our son gets with a nanny, but also encourage getting out of the house to socialize with other kiddos.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have one son, who turns 2 in July. He is talkative, loves to laugh, and enjoys running/climbing just as much as he likes settling down to read a book. He takes 2-3 hour naps mid-day and has no problem finding things to do at home to keep him occupied.

Describe your home setting: We live in a 5,000 sq ft single family home in Erie and keep things clean. Mom works in her office in the basement (out of sight most of the day) and Dad works in a main floor office. We have a finished basement and finished loft, which provide additional play areas to mix things up throughout the day. Our back porch is covered and offers a nice shaded, place to play during Summer months. We are close to the library, walking paths, and many parks. We also have access to our community pool, gymnastics (10 minutes), and Children’s museum (20 minutes). All of our surrounding neighbors have kids in the same age range, and our son frequently plays with them. There are multiple nannies in the neighborhood who are available for play dates.

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
Spending quality time playing with and teaching our son is the number one priority. Other nanny duties are 100% related to our son and include: cleaning up toys, washing dishes from our son’s meals/snacks, wiping down play areas when needed, laundry 1x per week, emptying diaper pails, restocking diaper bag/diaper changing areas, and occasional grocery shopping if needed.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Support our toddler’s development through immersive play, reading, singing, and art. Go on outings to the library, park, gymnastics, and museum (we have a schedule that works pretty well we can share with you). Find ways to socialize him with other kids and laugh a lot. We do not offer screens of any kind (TV, computer, ipad, etc.) to our son and ask that the nanny respect the same boundary.
