Loving family with two kids (almost 2 and 4) looking for an awesome addition to our crew. We are new arrivals from Seattle and living in North Boulder. Dad has a demanding job in Broomfield and mom is a writer from home. We are pro-adventure, positively-focused, and enjoy travel.
Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We desire overall support in giving our children the best possible circumstances in which to flourish. We want them to have more attention and varied social/emotional stimulation than we alone can offer. Our ideal candidate is passionate about children and has their own gifts and strengths to bring to the table!
Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
We have a 21 month old girl and an almost-four-year-old boy. Descriptive words for both are: sweet, intelligent, curious, lively, affectionate, hilarious. He is bright and sensitive, she is expressive and independent. They are great pals; both healthy, well-socialized, with loving parents and great grandparents on both sides, and the coolest teen sis who lives in SC. Our boy is in school Mon-Fri and our girl will be attending Tuesday/Thursday.
Describe your home setting: We are in a lovely modern home with a spacious backyard for lots of outdoor play. We live in a walkable neighborhood and are adjacent to a pond that’s great for long walks and, apparently, fishing!

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
We want to feel certain that our kids are safe, supported and encouraged. Caring for them includes feeding, dressing, bathing and bedtime, diaper changes/potty training, as well as helping to prepare our diaper bag with necessities for any outings. We may want them driven to and from school or extracurricular activities as we find them and as the kids show interest. We will also want help with laundry, meal prep, shopping, and light household chores like dishes.
We can be fairly flexible but are generally thinking that help after school to bedtimes on Mon-Fri and 1 or 2 longer days (Mon & Wed) would be ideal. We’d also love if you can be available at least twice a month for Thursday or Friday date nights.
What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Our goal is to find a nanny who is really focused on the kids; teaching and communicating with them, actively playing with and engaging with them. We love including them in art, music, exploring, dance, culture, nature, cooking and exercise. We hope you have your own ideas and ways to bond and enrich their lives!
What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
CPR and First Aid, as well as experience with Toddler and Preschool age group.

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
Open to 35-40 hrs per week. We can be fairly flexible, but are generally thinking that help after school to bedtimes on Mon-Fri and 1 or 2 longer days (Mon & Wed) to include household help, would be ideal. We’d also love if you can be available at least twice a month for Thursday or Friday date nights.
How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
$35/hr, 2 weeks paid vacation, major holidays, sick days, performance bonuses, health stipend. Guaranteed hours, pay rate and job description.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
We are looking for an experienced professional who is kind-hearted and patient - your role in our family will have a real and positive impact on our children’s lives. You should know how to relate to children and be able to support them in their emotional/personal/physical needs. We feel that we are offering a great position to the right person and that we - and hopefully you, too - can afford to be picky and find a fit that really feels good to everyone.
We have historically done a fair amount of travel. If you like to travel and are open to traveling with us to (places like Disneyland, New York, Charleston, Seattle) that is a big plus.
We do keep in touch with our former travel nanny (on the West Coast) who we really enjoy and with whom the kids are comfortable. If we were ever to leave town (hoping to finally get that honeymoon next year!) it would be lovely if you were open to working with her as we do not have family in Boulder and would want the extra coverage - especially if we were to leave the country.
