Nanny Job Details

Job ID: 5782
Location: Boulder, CO

Please describe your family:
We are a warm and loving family of 4 seeking a Full Time Nanny/House Manager that is Dependable, Dedicated, Organized, Kind, Loving, and Active. We love enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. We are new to Colorado and are exploring all that this beautiful area has to offer.

Please describe why you are looking for a nanny:
We are looking for a new Full Time Nanny/House Manager to care for our two awesome boys. We had a very successful relationship our past nanny. When we moved to Colorado this summer, she was unable to move with us so we are looking for someone new. We are flexible as to a start date but are willing to hire someone ASAP if that is possible.

Describe the child(ren) you need a nanny for:
Nanny/Mgr. will care for 2 boys, ages five months and four years old. The vast majority of time would be spent with our new baby boy. He is very sweet, relaxed and always smiling and laughing. Our four year old boy is kind-hearted, spirited and very fun-loving. He enjoys imaginative games and spending time outdoors. He is currently in preschool from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. These hours might shift when he is in school this summer and next year when he starts Kindergarten.

Describe your home setting: We live in a home in the Table Mesa area of South Boulder. We have a backyard and patio, as well as a park with great open space that is just a two minute walk away. We strive to keep a clean, organized home that is warm and inviting.

We are interested in the following:

How long do you need a Nanny?
1 Year

Live-in/Live-out?
Nanny, live-out

What tasks/errands do you expect your nanny to perform?
The vast majority of the time will be spent with the 5 month old. This will include feeding, naps, reading to him and age appropriate activities like tummy time. Transportation of the four-year-old to and from school and activities may also be necessary, particularly this summer. On the occasions that the four-year-old is home, nanny will organize age appropriate activities. Educational activities are a plus! Additional tasks regarding the children include completing the boys’ laundry, keeping areas related to the boys’ clean and tidy, helping to organize their toys/rooms, preparing their meals during the day, and tidying up kitchen after they eat. Household/Mgr. duties may include errands, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, etc. Cooking a healthy dinner for the family, time permitting, would also be greatly appreciated.

What activities do you want your nanny to do with your child?
Our youngest is very happy and easy going and just loves to play and interact with his caregiver. I would expect the nanny to engage in age-appropriate activities to help develop his motor, language and emotional skills, such as tummy time and reading books. Our eldest loves any type of imaginative play, exploring outdoors and craft projects. He also adores books and loves to be read to. We would like our Nanny/Mgr. to care for our baby, including time outside when appropriate, and come-up with age-appropriate activities to do with him. Our previous nanny only spoke Spanish with our son, and if our new nanny speaks a second language, we would love our younger son to be exposed to a second language as well.

What special certifications/requirements are you looking for?
Nanny/Mgr. must be up-to-date on all vaccinations, including yearly flu shot, COVID vaccine and be CPR and First Aid certified. Infant certifications are a plus, as is being bilingual in Spanish (I speak Spanish and so does our older son). Knowledge of safe sleep practices are also required, we will for the training/certificate. You must have a car with enough space for car seats!

Yes

Does this position require a car?
Yes

When will this position be available?
Start date is flexible

How many hours do you need a nanny for?
We need approximately 40-45 hours of coverage per week (1.5x for overtime beyond 40 hours), between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday through Friday. Optional extra hours will be available for date nights. We would also pay for overnight stays on vacations if that is of interest.

How much are you willing to pay? Do you offer benefits?
Pay rate is $30-$35/hr, with guaranteed pay of 40hrs/wk. Benefits include paid majors holidays, 7 days Sick Days/PTO, 2 weeks vacation.

Do you have any pets or animals in your home?
We have an 8 year old golden retriever and a bearded dragon (that lives in an aquarium). Our dog is very sweet, loving and family-oriented.

What else are you looking for in a nanny?
Nanny must have infant experience, as the primary responsibility will be caring for a five month old baby boy. It’s very important to us that a nanny is punctual, prioritizes child safety, can maintain structure/stability, and be trustworthy. Our past nanny was with us for four years, and open communication, mutual respect, and flexibility were appreciated by both her and us. We are a light-hearted, fun loving family so those qualities are also appreciated.
