Experience: I began babysitting at 15 years old. I was nanny throughout college for a family with 3 children for 4 years. I have childcare and Nanny experience from infants -17 years old. Worked in mental health with children and parents in behavioral health/social work. I was a nanny for two toddlers with the goal of preparing them for preschool and social skills. I have a handful of families I have nannied for occasionally. The variety of my experience offers an integration of care from my education background, work experience, and nanny experience.

Interests and hobbies:new adventures, hiking, skiing, reading, yoga, creative arts. I am adding scuba diving to my list this year and I am interested in animal therapy with dogs and horses.

Describe your childcare style:I believe that it's important to have a balance of strict boundaries to being nurturing. Children thrive from structure, consistency, and the freedom to be who they are in a trusting environment. I integrate childcare styles from what the parents suggest, and my own experience with play therapy. Working as a team is the best way to be a role model for a child and family system.

What activities do you like to do with children:Creative activities, reading, writing, adventure, outdoors, and any healthy activity that enhances growth.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have discovered by being a nanny it means to effortlessly give my heart away with no intentions of needing it back. Being a nanny keeps me passionate about working with children and families. I enjoy creating developmental and emotional care for each child individually and with their parents input.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?It's important for a nanny to be calm, nurturing, have boundaries, patience, kind, stay consistent and creative. Clear and open communication with the family as a whole is key to being an effective nanny.
