Level of education: In May 2016 I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

Additional skills or certifications: Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED RYT 200 Yoga Instructor I can speak some German and Spanish - I studied abroad in Fulda, Germany in Fall 2013 and took 4 years of Spanish in high school.

Experience: I began working as a 24/7 camp counselor starting at the age of 14 at a summer camp and continued throughout high school. I intermittently babysat and worked as a Summer Nanny while I obtained my bachelors degree and want to continue to pursue my passion for being a Full Time nanny.

Interests and hobbies:I love being outdoors! I spend my free time practicing yoga, hiking, rock climbing, exercising, camping, skiing, swimming, dirt biking, and basically any activity where I am surrounded by nature. I enjoy listening to music, reading and making mala necklaces. I also love to travel - so far I have been to 36/50 states and 14 countries!

Describe your childcare style:I like to have fun with the kids no matter what we are doing! I think it's important to be creative and interact with children in a variety of ways to facilitate their social, personal, motor, and emotional development. I am not afraid to be goofy and playful, but will also assert my authority when needed. I can easily adapt to the different rules and requests of each family!

What activities do you like to do with children:I enjoy taking children on hikes, to parks, museums, community events, the zoo, aquarium, etc. I also like helping with school work, making arts and crafts, playing games, and reading.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am currently working as a yoga instructor and lab technician in Boulder. However, my passion for providing a loving and positive environment to help develop happy, healthy, and well-behaved children has led me to pursue being a nanny again. I believe happiness in the number one priority when obtaining a job and I truly enjoy providing child care.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?It is important for a nanny to be reliable, energetic, nurturing, attentive and have strong communication skills with children and parents. A nanny should be proficient at organizing daily schedules for children, including recreational activities, learning opportunities, preparing meals, and doing housework. It is also important to maintain the well-being and safety of children at all times, and able to respond to any necessary emergency situations appropriately.
