Experience: Ever since I was old enough to do so, I have babysat and worked as a nanny, from consistent to sporadic, date nights, last minute coverage to overnights. I have experience with all ages, newborns to 17 years old. During high school, I watched kids around the neighborhood, little cousins, for family friends and friends of friends. Throughout college I was a part of a nanny referral service. I watched kids for several different families. After graduating college, I cared for my nephew full time (24/7) for two months. Following that I was a Nanny from 2-8pm, for two kids under 5 yrs. From there, I nannied for a 13 month old, working 30-50/wk. This job allowed me to be a Nanny/House Manager to non related families. This entailed being an extra set of hands around the house- from caring for the baby to cleaning to running errands and grocery shopping. I have experience with special needs (ADHD & autism in particular). Because of this, I am patience and understanding while being able to assist with behavioral changes. I learned many new sensory tricks to help. Meal prep, light house duties, homework help, errands and driving kids around are all second nature to me. I'm also comfortable traveling with families/children. On several occasions I have escorted/flown children to/from to separated parents in different states. Being nurturing, fun, and safe are my top priorities when watching little ones. No matter the age, I ensure to keep the children I watch engaged whether it is tummy time, reading a book, playing in the backyard, etc. I have also coached girls lacrosse camps and supervised for a surf/yoga/craft camps.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with children from newborn to 17 years of age. I am most comfortable with 3 months and older.

Interests and hobbies: I love being outdoors and being active whether it's hiking, biking, weightlifting, yoga or a new workout call. I like wandering around ton checking out boutiques, art galleries and coffee shops. I also love cooking and baking or eating out at a new restaurant, I love food. I also enjoy live music, acoustic especially. Photography and acrylic painting are hobbies of mine.

Describe your childcare style: My childcare style is personal yet professional. I believe it's important to understand and implement the rules and structures given by parents. I also believe it is important to allow for the children to be comfortable with you. My approach in being a successful babysitter/nanny I can be fun and goofy with the child firm but loving when needed. Being nurturing, fun, and safe are my top priorities when caring for children.

What activities do you like to do with children:No matter the age, I ensure engagement with the children I care for, whether it is tummy time, reading a book, or playing in the backyard. I love taken children outdoors whether its to the park, sidewalk chalk, riding bikes or playing sports in the backyard. I enjoy taking kids to educational places like the museum, the zoo, or aquarium. Being a creative person myself, I encourage activities like arts and crafts, playing house/store/dress up or building forts. I love to see kids creative minds at work! And of course I make sure the mess is cleaned up! Board games and book are other things I like to encourage.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? Ever since I was little I always enjoyed being around kids. I love watching children develop over time and seeing their creative minds at work is something that brings be joy. Not only have I been told but I firmly believe I have a mother's touch despite not having kids of my own yet!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter? The qualities that are important in a nanny are patience, fun/goofy, reliable/ flexible, responsible, cautious, and be a good communicator. Being adaptable, quick on your feet and creative are also important because every child is different and situations can turn at the drop of a hat. A child can go from laughing to crying quickly and it is a nanny's job to do the best they can to make things better!
