Additional skills or certifications: I am CPR and First Aid certified through American Red Cross. Familiar with Epi Pens.

Experience: I have been looking after young children since high school. However, it was not until after I received my bachelors degree that I became a full time nanny. I was with my last family for two years. I watched three siblings ages 2.5 months. 4 years, and 6 years. I prepared bottles, made breakfast and lunch. I created age appropriate activities and projects. I made sure screen time was limited, monitored and rules followed. I took the kids to extracurricular activities. I helped the parents implement a sleep schedule for the baby and establish a routine. I picked up after the children, helped with laundry, helped with the dogs and ran errands. I have done weekends and overnights. Beyond nannying, I have babysat for date nights, work events and travel periods for numerous families. I've dealt with allergies, EpiPens and I am CPR and first AID certified. I am also available to do House Manager work as well, including laundry, grocery shopping, organization, errands, meal prep etc.!

Interests and hobbies:I am active and love the outdoors. I enjoy keeping my body moving. I absolutely enjoy Martial Arts. I try to go for a swim at least once a week. I enjoy hiking and recently fallen in love with skiing. I am always looking for great music to listen to!

Describe your childcare style:My childcare style is fun, flexible and respectful. Every child is an individual and unique and should be treated as such. I am patient and like to see the kids grow. I believe that in order to truly understand what the kids are going through, you have to be there with them along the way. This means playing on the floor with them, understanding the sports they are involved in, and understanding the homework that is given to them. I will respect the parents rules and boundaries. It is important for me to discipline, when necessary, in a way that is consistent with the overall parenting style. I will accept guidance and suggestions from the parents in terms of what are effective disciplinary actions. I understand that this is a team effort and respect will be given on all sides.

What activities do you like to do with children:With the younger kids I practice ages and stages, including developmental activities, I enjoy nurturing them, outdoor walks, reading, etc. I enjoying playing games, making up games and playing sports. I like to build Legos with the kids and making up a kingdom of dragons and princesses. I like to get the kids out of the house and go park hopping. I enjoy taking the kids to swim. I love to do arts and crafts, put on dance parties and play dress up. When pets are in the home, I like to include them in activities where ever possible. I try to design activities around their interests.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am interested in working with children because they are pure. They bring the purest energy to life. They have the biggest imaginations and the best questions. I absolutely enjoy the expression on the children's faces when they learn something new or accomplish something they have been working on. I love seeing the young kids coming into their personality and the older kids understand the harder facts of life. I enjoy creating an environment where the children can grow, learn, and experience new things in a safe environment.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Being patient, positive, kind and respectful are a few of important qualities in a nanny. I want to be an extension of the family. I want the kids to be excited when they see me. I want to be a resource to them and a trusted adult in their life. I want to be open with them and just as creative.
