Additional skills or certifications: I am certified in Montessori Early Childhood Education as well as being Early Childhood Teacher qualified in the State of Colorado. I hold current certifications in CPR and First Aid and have completed Medication Administration Training for Asthma and Inhaled Medications and Standard Precautions training. I have training in many different forms of art and I love to teach children. I have been certified to teach group fitness classes through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and I love to stay active playing sports with children. Professional Development Workshops I have attended are on the topics of Positive Discipline, Parenting Safe Children, Special Needs, Inclusive Practices, Self-Regulation, Sensory Processing, Observation, Mindfulness, Movement, Music and Yoga. I am happy to take additional classes and certifications if requested.

Experience: I have enjoyed teaching the past 6 years in a Montessori School, working with children ages 3-6 years old. During that time, I taught in a Preschool through Kindergarten, mixed age classroom of 20-30 students. Throughout those 6 years I gained valuable experience working with children of all different intellectual and emotional needs, interests, abilities, as well as medical and dietary needs. I enjoyed giving lessons in Practical Life, Art, Sensorial, Language and Math and shared in their joy of learning new things and becoming independent. Prior to that, I have experience as an after school Enrichment Coordinator, 1 year of Substitute Teaching, 6 years of Nanny/Household Management Experience as well as 15 years of Babysitting Experience. As a Household Manager, I enjoy keeping things tidy and organized. I am happy to help with errands, groceries, scheduling, meal prep, driving children to and from school and activities, helping with homework and whatever is needed for everything to run smoothly. I am blessed to be the mother of 2 amazing children, age 13 and 15, who have taught me so much and inspire me everyday.

Describe your childcare style:I am a patient, loving, responsible and consistent caregiver that will support your children in their intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth. I provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to be themselves and engage them in meaningful activities. Working closely with parents, I will support them in their approach to discipline and parenting style, always communicating openly and honestly. I am trained in the Positive Discipline approach with children and find it very successful.

What activities do you like to do with children:I feel it is important to really get to know a child and follow and explore the child's own interests and abilities. I enjoy being active outside with children, fostering a life-long love of nature. I have fun doing arts and crafts with children, encouraging their creativity and imagination. Utilizing my background in education, I enjoy creating a weekly or monthly curriculum engaging children in age-appropriate learning activities and games. Reading, music, singing, building, baking and movement activities are a few more activities I enjoy doing as well as taking children on outings to the zoo, aquarium, library and museums.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have always enjoyed working with and interacting with children and I have a passion for helping others. It brings me the greatest joy to help children learn, grow and thrive. As a Nanny, I enjoy making one on one connections, being able to fully focus on the individual child's needs as well as the flexibility to have spontaneous adventures. I strive to build close, lasting relationships with children and their families and I am always ready to play, laugh and have fun!
