Experience: I have spent my life around children! My mom is a school teacher and I was always tagging along to her classes until I started school. From there, I took the American Red Cross babysitting class as soon as they would let me and started babysitting in my teen years while also working at a pottery painting studio running kid's birthday parties. Since then, I have been working at a local swim school for the past 7 years where I not only run the school, but teach swim lessons as well. A big focus of mine while teaching there has been running the parent/child baby swim lesson program. While working at the swim school, I have had the luxury and flexibility to nanny multiple families with a wide range of age groups from newborns to elementary school children. I have also been lucky enough to babysit for some of the families that have attended as well as other family friends and neighbors from infants through teenagers. I am happy to work with additional house manager duties as well!

Interests and hobbies:I love to read in my free time! I also love to get outside and go on long walks with my two puppies and hang out with friends! I am a lover of all things Disney. I love to travel and explore new places.

Describe your childcare style:My goal from day one is to connect with the parents and form a plan together on their preferred style and interests. Communication is very important to me and I would like to have an open relationship with them where we can adjust as needed and wanted. I want to make sure they are comfortable with me and have complete trust in me with their most precious! I am a lover and strongly empathetic. I want to show kids kindness and compassion but believe I have a great balance of being firm when needed. I want to let kids be kids and encourage them to use their voice and be themselves. I know that I am helping to raise them be good people who can make a true difference in the world! I love to be get outdoors and be hands on with the children.I love to come up with activities that we can all enjoy. I am also happy to take them to any activities and want them to remember me as someone who was there for them and made a real difference in their lives!

What activities do you like to do with children:I love to be hands on and of course, this all depends on the age of the child. I love to get outdoors and do outdoor activities with them such as swimming, walking, sports, or any other outdoor activity they love or maybe haven't even tried before! I love dance, music, and playing any kind of game. Again, all depends on the age, but I have a pretty fantastic homemade playdough recipe if I do say so myself and love crafts as well! Using our imagination is also the best for the littles!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? Kids are who I love! I love to talk to them and be around them! Some of the best memories of my life are from times that I have nannied. I still have great relationships with the families that I have nannied for in the past and it has been a joy to watch them grow. I want to get back to finding a family that I really connect with and spending my days with the children as their joy and laughter fuel my soul.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Patience, empathy, compassion, kindness, love, responsibility, respect, communication, problem-solving, hard-working, adaptability... the list goes on and on!

Additional comments:I cannot wait to find my perfect family match! I believe through my years of experience as not only a nanny and babysitter, but also running a swim school, I have the perfect combination between caring and working for children and managing. I have no problem doing any other helpful responsibilities as well such as driving to activities/sports, helping with schoolwork, cleaning, cooking, and anything else that's helpful to the family. I have no problem helping with any occasional overnights, date nights, and weekends as well. I want to be someone that a family can always rely on and trust with anything! I love to be two steps ahead and anticipate/help with needs before even being asked!
