Experience: My childcare experience consists of babysitting, nannied part-time, full-time, and overnights. I have worked in various licensed childcare facilities both on and off military bases working with children from six weeks to four years, I was the Art Counselor at the Air Force Academy CDC for elementary aged children, was an art teacher for art camps at an art studio in Richfield, OH for two years, I have professionally taught art both in Colorado and OH for children pre-k-12th grade and both licenses are current. I also have experience in house manager duties that include but not limited to family laundry, family meals, errands, light housecleaning, organization projects, and accompanying families to Dr. appointments. I am organized, detailed, and responsible. I am a self starter and prefer to create and manage my own schedule when able. Describe your childcare style:My childcare style for infants is to provide a secure, caring, nurturing, and supportive environment that is play-based. I support individual needs based on developmental milestones and family goals. For school aged children, I am very much a project-based/play-based caretaker. I strive to create a learning environment that supports each child's individual needs and interests by allowing them to self-motivate their own learning path and make education a pleasant experience. I am also a huge advocate for providing real life experiences that pertain to the real world, so I love taking them on daily or weekly field trips around the area and discuss information that we have learned pertaining to that particular field trip. What activities do you like to do with children:I love doing everything and anything I can with children so they can have fun while learning at the same time! For infant activities, I like to take them on walks, explore nature, attend age appropriate story times, introduce music and art, introduce sensory activities to promote dexterity, fine and large motor movement, introduce infant sign language, and develop age appropriate lessons. For toddler and elementary aged children, in previous nanny positions, I would take the children on adventures to discover different playgrounds in the area, go on hikes or walks, go to various age appropriate museums, go on bike rides, go to indoor play areas, botanical gardens, the zoo, farms, lunch dates, trampoline parks, amusement parks, libraries, I love to read with children, do art projects or educational projects with children, go swimming, etc..
