Experience: I have a total of over 30 years of experience. A combination of babysitting as a teenager, being a Mom of my own and also 7 years of professional nanny experience! I started babysitting our neighbors 3 month old infant son when I was 13 years old. This went on weekly through my teenage years until he became school age, I enjoyed every bit of that time. I am also a Mom of my own! I successfully raised 3 children as a stay at home Mom, 2 boys and a girl. They are all grown now and on their own. In addition, I have 7 professional years as a Nanny working with 3 different families. With each family the child/children were infants and I was their full time caregiver until they were preschool age. I also was a Nursery Coordinator for 1 year with infants to 1 year old children. When I was in College, I was a camp counselor for school age children for 2 different summers. I also was a former Youth Leader for 2 years working with ages 13 - 17.

Interests and hobbies:I have a love for photographing people and nature. I also enjoy all forms of Art, culture and history. Nature and the outdoors, long walks, beautiful hikes, good conversations staying healthy and self improvement are always a part of my life. I am a dog lover and pet person, so any animals you have will not be an issue for me. I am a former Horse riding instructor and Special Olympics Gymnastics coach as well!

Describe your childcare style:Nurturing, kind and engaging. I interact with the children I care for on many different levels to help them grow developmentally, emotionally and physically. I follow the parent's lead and style in what they feel works best for their children..

What activities do you like to do with children:Activities are based on the ages and interest of the children - colors, numbers, speech, ages and stages, walks, arts and crafts, reading, singing, coloring, painting, building creative things, imaginative play, etc. Outside activities include walks and exploring the world, bike rides, parks, zoo's , aquariums, botanical gardens, the butterfly pavilion and the library.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I consider it an honor and privilege to be able to nurture, care for and help children develop creativity, knowledge and confidence in themselves.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe a Nanny needs to be a trustworthy person. A person of high integrity as well as kind, nurturing and filled with lots of patience as well as play in them! I believe a child needs to feel free to safely explore their world knowing they are safe and well cared for.
