Experience: I have 10+ years of child care and nanny experience, ranging from working in a daycare as an Assistant Teacher, to working as a live out Nanny/Household Manager for several families. I have 2 years of child care experience as an Assistant Teacher in a daycare setting where I worked primarily with the 2-3 year olds, gaining experience with potty training, age appropriate education, time management and scheduling. Nanny/Household Manager: I have 10 years experience where I have helped with carpooling, laundry, classes and activities. I also ran errands for things such as groceries and dry cleaning, after school help/homework help, arts and crafts, sports and outdoor time. Scheduling dental/pediatrician visits for children, meeting parents at the doctors/dentist office. Grocery shopping and light meal prep. Light housekeeping as needed. I have helped parents book hotels/flights for vacations, and scheduled children's extracurriculars, including sports, art classes, music classes, play dates, etc. I have helped parents with taking their vehicles in for basic maintenance. I am pretty flexible with the needs of the family, especially if it means freeing up time for parents to have extra time with their kiddos while I help out with some of those more mundane, time consuming tasks!

Experience with the following age groups: Infant through School Age.

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading and crossword puzzles, bowling and golf. In the summer, I love spending time at the lake paddle boarding and boating. I like sports, both playing and watching, especially baseball!

Describe your childcare style:I believe it is important to have structure to the day, but to also have room for flexibility and changes. I like leading with love and logic, while also keeping open communication with the family and their own personal style for raising their children. I enjoy getting down on the same level with children, while we play or while we talk. I look for ways to bring new and exciting things to our day and have fun while keeping them safe!

What activities do you like to do with children:I love playing outside (weather permitting). Going to the park, outings such as the zoo or museums, playing in the backyard and going for walks. I love reading and coloring and coming up with fun craft ideas to keep kiddos entertained and busy. I like baking and playing games. I like being able to give the older kiddos a choice of what activities they want to do and making the most of their choice! For infants/toddlers, I love seeing the changes from practicing gross motor skills such as tummy time, rolling over and walking (at the appropriate ages, of course), and working on the fine motor skills as well; grasping/grabbing for objects, stacking blocks, finger foods. I love when infants start transitioning over to solid foods and being able to watch them experience different tastes and textures of their new food options. I also enjoy a good sing-a-long, practicing colors, numbers and letters.

I feel the most fulfilled when I am working with a family and children that I can also grow and learn with and keep those connections for years to come.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter? It is important for a nanny to be patient, nurturing and attentive. A nanny should be trustworthy and have open communication with the parents and children.
