Describe your childcare style:I don’t like to say I have one specific style because I believe every child is different, I also believe part of nannying is working with the parents to figure out how to best help the household run smoothly. I think the three important things are first communication with the child(ren) parents, second being consistent and third setting the child(ren) up for success. I also do not use television as a childcare tool, rarely do I turn on the television.

What activities do you like to do with children:I base the activities on the ages and stages of the children from infants on up including tummy time, colors, numbers, speech, sitting up and walking (and then running!) developmental activities and nurturing etc.! I love walks to the park, reading, singing, arts and crafts, going to the park, museums, zoo, learning activities, walks, biking, swimming, and having fun! I allow kids to be kids! However I do let them know there are rules that are for their safety and well being (or obeying parents wishes) I believe in positive reinforcement and redirection, and communicating safety expectations for the children. I rarely have problems with kids because I enjoy listing and talking to them and finding creative fun ways to solve problems.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have always loved children and it turns out I’m quite skilled at being their caregiver! I put all of my efforts and energy in creating lasting bonds with the families and children and making every day a memory! Being a positive role model and helping children to experience the world is a privilege!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Patience, kindness, creativity and being able to quickly come up with a plan b, c and d!
