Experience: I began my childcare journey as a mothers helper and from then on began babysitting for many different families within my hometown. I would watch children for date nights, afterschool and throughout the summer. During this time I gained experience with many different ages, twins, as well as being a part of my first nanny-share. I have worked full-time summer nanny college and part-time during the school year. My most recent experience has been working part-time with two children from different families (nanny-share), beginning when the children were 9 months to the time they were just over 2 years old. With over 10 years of childcare experience, I have also completed a practicum at a preschool, an internship at a Waldorf Kindergarten, and observed and supported speech and physical therapy sessions.

Experience with the following age groups: I have experience with infants to teenagers

Interests and hobbies:I enjoy being outside in nature, I adore traveling and seeing new places, I love being creative and hands-on, painting, knitting, drawing and crafting bring me joy.

Describe your childcare style:Being present with a child is my first priority in any childcare situation. To be involved in the active learning, imagination and growth of a child is truly amazing. As a nanny, I am very adaptable to the parents' ways of raising their children, because consistency in a child's life is very important for their well-being. I value a consistent, thoughtful firm (when needed) but loving approach when working with children. It's important to be warm, patient and truly listen to a child's needs while also being able to set boundaries and be clear with them on structure and communication.

What activities do you like to do with children:My favorite thing to do with children at any age is to create art! Exploring nature and making adventures educational is a wonderful way to keep the children on track while having fun. I also love playing music and having dance parties, building forts, playing games, treasure hunts, and making interactive tasks such as baking or cleaning up toys super fun and enjoyable.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I am deeply passionate about the development and well-being of children. I believe that the basis of who we are as humans begins within the family, and nurture we receive as young beings. To be able to help a child develop into who they are and support them in learning skills and habits they will take with them throughout their childhood is the reason why I love working with children.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe that the strongest quality in a childcare provider is the ability to adapt as every family is unique in its own way. Someone who is warm and nurturing, and has open and honest communication within the family would make an incredible nanny.

Additional comments:I am very excited to meet you!
