Experience: I am a house manager and nanny with over five years of experience. As a house manager, I have managed family schedules, created and executed healthy meal plans, coordinated house maintenance, assisted with travel plans, and more. As a nanny, I’ve cared for children of all ages, led homeschooling through the COVID-19 pandemic, and facilitated the children's emotional and intellectual growth.

Experience with the following age groups: Infant through school age.

Interests and hobbies:As a native Coloradan, I have a deep appreciation for the outdoors and as so love to bike, hike, run, or anything else outdoors! I have been self-taught on guitar since I was eight and have participated in many years of band camps, so any chance I get to play my instruments I love! I am a huge animal lover and have had two litters of kittens and one litter of puppies. I’ve worked on farms with chickens, ducks, horses and pigs and because of my time and love for the animals my diet became plant-based.

Describe your childcare style: I believe in letting children feel empowered and become their own beings. I always practice gentle and positive discipline and try to help kids recognize their feelings. I love to have an outline of a schedule but am easily adaptable and willing to change everything day to day. I always follow the style and direction of the parents.

What activities do you like to do with children:I love to read and sing to all ages of kiddos. Indoor and outdoor activities based on their ages and interests. When working with newborns I find it very important to practice tummy time, rolling over, playing with sensory toys, and going for walks. For toddlers, I love to practice letters, building life skills (i.e., putting coats/shoes on, brushing teeth),learning about feelings, and all the fun stuff in between. A few favorite things I’ve enjoyed doing in the past are spending time learning about food and animals from each continent, sensory bins, age-appropriate science experiments, and making up our own songs. For children over the age of five, I love to read, play games (especially learning-based ones), dress up and building, arts and crafts and learning activities.. A favorite of mine in the past was doing a nailed it baking challenge!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have always loved caring for children, even as a child when my baby sister was born. As an adult and having worked in the industry for awhile, I find it to be the most rewarding experience. I love the pure connection and love you can find from the children and being part of a family. Nannying also helps me to expand my level of understanding and communication.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Important qualities of a nanny are: compassion, kindness, honesty, open communication, understanding, and patience and a genuine love of children!

Additional comments:I look forward to becoming family and watching the kids learn and grow into wonderful, happy humans!
