Experience: For the last 17 years, I was lucky to have been the nanny and house manager for a wonderful family of 6 in Boulder, Colorado. When I began my long-term position as a nanny and full house manager, the children ranged in age from 2 years old to nine years old. It was an amazing experience to care for them and watch them become successful young adults going off to college. Prior to becoming a career nanny, I also cared for infants and toddlers in my home, in addition to my own two children as a licensed home childcare provider

Experience with the following age groups: Infants, toddlers, and preschool age children through high school.

Interests and hobbies:Infants, toddlers, and preschool age children through high school.

Describe your childcare style:I believe it's extremely important for children to feel safe and comfortable with their nanny. Once trust is established, and with the right amount of structure and flexibility, a lot of fun, learning, and growth are possible. Each child is a unique and special individual, so I believe one of the most important aspects of childcare is listening, whether that be to verbal or nonverbal cues. Once the child's wants and needs are discovered, it's important to meet those needs in the way that's most beneficial for the child.

What activities do you like to do with children:I love reading to children, helping them with homework, taking them to parks, and playing indoor as well as outdoor games. I also enjoy special events such as going to museums, zoos, and amusement parks.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? Nothing compares to the light in children's eyes when they are happy, or to the passion they express when they are upset. They are completely genuine, and I find that wonderful. Helping a family care for their children and home brings me a sense of fulfillment and purpose.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe that patience, empathy, and kindness are essential traits for a nanny to have. It's also important for a nanny to be a stable presence in a child's life, a person who can be counted on to maintain a structured schedule while still being flexible enough to accomodate a child's ever-changing emotions and needs.

Additional comments:I look forward to meeting your family!
