Interests and hobbies:I enjoy running, hiking, painting, cooking and baking. I also enjoy reading and staying up to date with journal research articles.

Describe your childcare style:I believe it is important to first develop a loving and caring relationship with both the children and the family. It is important to have trust in any relationship. Working with children for years, I have learned how important it is to first be their friend and then everything else follows; you become someone of reason, their teacher, mentor, role model, etc. I like to follow along with the parents' childcare style so that the child or children have consistency from every adult in their life. I think providing educational learning in much of what I do with the children is important but also having fun and making sure they are making memories. Overall, a healthy and complete balance of being a fun-loving role model who also offers educational and functional care.

What activities do you like to do with children:Infants: sitting, crawling, standing, walking, running, language development, colors, tummy time, singing, nurturing and cuddling. Toddlers (2-4): messy play (arts and crafts like painting, drawing, chalk), physical activity (balance bikes, park time), nature play, pretend play, singing, dancing, reading, fine motor skills, language development (also know a good amount of sign language and can continue to learn and implement that as well with child if desired by parents.) Preschool(4-6): arts and crafts, reading, fine motor skills, dress up (pretend play), functional use of what skills they are learning in school and applying those skills in the real world (grocery shopping, etc), singing, dancing, bike riding, board games. Middle childhood (6-12): Puzzles, gardening, mathematics, games, drawing, writing, reading, adapting school education with real world situations (picking out groceries and counting out money to pay for the groceries, etc), physical activities (any sports the child wants to try or currently interested in or just playing things at the park), cooking and baking (teaching life skills with how to measure using cups). Adolescence (13-17): cooking, baking, sports activities, school work help (tutoring), community outings (botanical garden, water park, aquarium, baseball/sport games, whatever the parents are comfortable with), gardening, hikes, picnics.

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in working with children. My love for children stems from growing up in a large household. I am the oldest of eight children. My mother is also one of ten children. As one can assume, family gatherings are nothing less than wild. It was such a learning experience growing up in such a large household. I learned at a young age how to help with changing diapers, feeding babies, and putting them to sleep. My mom truly wanted me involved and to teach me how to be a great big sister. That experience alone, along with many others, has molded me into who I am today. I am fortunate enough to have had so many experiences with children who allowed me to learn and grow with them. All children are unique and require different needs from those around them. I want to be the one to help provide those needs. That is why nannying is truly my passion. Learning how each child is so different and how one day they will grow to bring something unique to this world. It is such a beautiful thing and such a blessing to be a part of.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Trustworthy, patience, kindness, understanding, reliability, organization and time management, education and training, experience and common sense.

Additional comments:Very excited to meet you! Any specific needs, please just let me know. I am very open, flexible, and willing to work with you.
