Experience: I have experience as a nanny and a house assistant. I also have worked as a preschool teacher! I am passionate about early childhood development and have a degree in developmental psychology that I love to utilize in my work.

Experience with the following age groups: Infant, toddler, preschool, and school age up to thirteen years of age.

Interests and hobbies:I love to be creative and do anything involving art. I self-published and sell my own coloring book that I drew by hand! I also practice jiu jitsu and love to stay active, I am a big reader and will read as many books as I can get my hands on. I am an excellent cook and baker. I am very kind, patient, and positive. I consider myself to be very motivated and outgoing!

Describe your childcare style:I believe in fostering independence and creativity in every child I work with. I hope to leave every child I work with a sense of curiosity about the world they live in and the self-confidence to explore it! I feel it is a privilege as a nanny to be able to help nurture that in the children I work with through structuring activities and also being able to change course and be flexible when need be.

What activities do you like to do with children:I like to focus on developmentally appropriate activities for each age group - physically, emotionally, socially, and mentally. With infants I love to get outside for walks and tummy time activities! Anything that gets them engaged as much as possible and looking around at the wide world around them. I also believe in being engaged and present with infants as much as possible, from cuddling and talking to them to reading and developmental tools like black and white flash cards. With toddlers and preschoolers and early elementary children I love to get outside, get creative, and get engaged! Going to museums and parks, going for walks, doing crafts to work on fine motor skills, and of course chatting with them as much as possible to aid in language and brain development. With elementary aged children on up I love to get them engaged in cooking and baking, getting outdoors, cultural experiences, help them to learn more about the world through various activities and experiences. I love learning what their passions are and taking an active interest in fostering them as well!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I have worked as a nanny since I graduated from high school and have made a career out of it because I find it so highly rewarding. I have worked as a teacher before and have found that the freedom that comes with nannying allows me to make a greater impact on children and their family than any other profession. I truly think there is nothing more rewarding than working with children, getting to watch them grow and become people who will make their mark on the world is unlike anything else and knowing I was a part of nurturing that growth is the best feeling ever!

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?I believe patience and empathy are the two most important qualities in a nanny! Being able to understand a child's emotions and having the patience to help them navigate those emotions. A willingness to stay positive and engaged and put the wellbeing and safety of the child above everything. Excellent communication with the parents as well as the children to keep everyone on the same page as well as always following any direction or requests from the parents.

Additional comments:I look forward to meeting your amazing family!
