Experience: Passionate about working with children since my teenage years, I began babysitting for friends and family. This ignited my love for spending time with kids and led me to work at a daycare during college. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in nutrition, I moved to Denver and became a full-time nanny for a wonderful family, blending my expertise in nutrition into the children's meals. For 12 rewarding years, I've cared for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, witnessing their growth and development firsthand as a nanny. I’ve also taught music to multiple children over the years, both piano and trumpet. Each moment spent with the children I care for is an opportunity for them to learn and thrive. Experience: Babysitter for 5 years, Daycare for 2 years - infant, toddler, and school age rooms. Became a private nanny with family from daycare for 1 summer, Private full time nanny and part time nanny with multiple families. Full time nanny for 3 years with one family, also babysat for multiple other families for evenings, weekends and overnights. Additionally, at each job, I took care of childcare related tasks such as laundry, dishes, organizing toy/bed rooms, restocking, sweeping, meal planning/prepping.

Experience with the following age groups: Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School Age.

Interests and hobbies:Active and outdoorsy - enjoys camping, hiking, climbing, kayaking, biking - being outside in nature, and traveling the world. Creative and musical - loves all genres of music, plays trumpet, piano, drums, and a little guitar. Houseplants - we have nearly 100 in our home! I love to care for them and watch them grow. Big fan of dogs - I am a huge dog lover and dog sit regularly. My husband and I co-founded a non-profit that provides creative arts, music, and sustainability/gardening education, specifically to youth. I’m very passionate about our mission and helping people learn.

Describe your childcare style:My childcare philosophy revolves around making learning fun through music, art, outdoor play, and exploring the world together. I approach each day with a nurturing, enthusiastic, and engaging attitude. I love playing, dancing, and singing every day. I provide a gentle approach to discipline. I am sure to use patience and understanding at all times. I allow the child to have some space if they are feeling frustrated or upset. I enjoy talking with children, and I am always engaged with the child even if they aren’t old enough to respond yet.

What activities do you like to do with children:Infants - this is a great age for sensory play like splashing in water or playing with whipped cream on a cookie sheet, singing and dancing together, going on a walk and talking about what is out there, going to the park - even just to hang in the grass, look in the mirror together and make silly faces (surprised, happy, sad, etc.), tummy time, reading to them, playing peekaboo, story time when old enough, hikes while carrying them Toddlers - walks w/ strider bike, story time, children’s museum, aquarium, zoo, talk to them often and stay engaged, dancing and singing, finger painting and other simple crafts, play-dough, pretend play, playing with toys, go to the park, go to an indoor playground, go to the grocery store and talk about what we see, play games, climbing on things, throwing, rolling, kicking ball, sidewalk chalk Preschool - play more complicated games, fun music lessons on piano, baking, outdoor time on bikes, scooters, or walking, playgrounds, pool, museums, libraries, yoga, basic Spanish, sidewalk chalk, playing in water School Age - play board/card games, pretend play, sports, engage in whatever they are into, more complex art projects, advanced instrument lessons, get outside
