Experience: I have been a full time career nanny for the past five years. The majority of my experience is with ages newborn through five years old. I have provided consistent, safe, interactive and loving care for my previous families. I have helped out with House Manager tasks in my previous employment positions. Running errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, organization and laundry are all things I have enjoyed doing to keep my family’s household running smoothly. I am willing to take on more of a House Manager role in my next position and further my experience if needed!

Experience with the following age groups: I am experienced with newborns/infants and have cared for multiple during my time as a nanny. I’m knowledgeable and familiar with postpartum help for mom, breastfeeding support, bottle making/washing, infant care such as diapering, feeding, helping with sleep schedules and important developmental activities such as tummy time. I have experience with bottle weaning, starting solids and I am very confident and knowledgeable in the Baby Led Weaning method. Stimulating and interactive activities such as singing, reading, playing peek-a-boo and practicing first words are incorporated as baby gets older. I pride myself in being a “toddler whisperer” and am familiar and confident of all things that come during the this stage! From first steps to potty training, I have the skills and experience to help toddlers grow emotionally, physically, socially and mentally to reach age appropriate milestones while also learning about compassion towards others and experiencing new things. I have prepared kids to thrive in a Preschool/Pre-K classrooms

Interests and hobbies:I love reading, writing, crafting, gardening, traveling, trying new restaurants, anything on the water and being with family!

Describe your childcare style:I describe my childcare style as gentle and patient but I hold firm boundaries when needed. I loosely follow Montessori beliefs and themes but also add techniques and toys I believe are also beneficial. Gentle tones and redirection. I believe in reinforcement of positive behavior and always letting kids know how loved and important they are even in moments of redirection/discipline.

What activities do you like to do with children:Infants: Practicing gross motor skills- sitting, crawling, cruising, climbing Fine motor skills- busy boards, coloring, simple crafts, stickers, puzzles General Activities- reading, singing, cuddling, taking walks, talking about surroundings, playing peek-a-boo, patty cake, stuffed animal play, stacking blocks, making noise shakers, playing/practicing with kitchen utensils, water play. Toddlers/Preschool: Motor skills- walking, running, climbing, swimming, playing games and sports, exploring nature, using writing utensils, paint, themed sensory bins, stamps, sidewalk chalk. School Age activities are based on their interests and educational level. General Activities: pretend play, reading, singing, helping in kitchen, helping with age appropriate household tasks, dress up, scavenger hunts, crafts, puzzles, learning ABC’s and numbers, playgrounds, new places and adventures, being creative to find activities to fit child’s specific interests.
