Experience: I was a nanny for multiple families for approximately 18 years. The majority of that time was spent with one family. I started as their nanny when their first son was born and twin girls followed. While my role changed as the children aged, I never stopped being their nanny. The children are now 19 and 17 years old and I stayed with them while their parents traveled. The duties of these positions were all things related to care for infants through school age. This included taking children to enrichment classes, preschool, playdates and many other adventures. House management expectations were light housekeeping such as general tidying ,dishes, and children's laundry. I helped with organization of children's items like toys, going through clothing that they have outgrown and packing for trips. Weekly trips to the grocery store, dry cleaners, carwash and other family errands were done while children were at school or otherwise occupied.

Experience with the following age groups: Infant through school age.

Interests and hobbies:I love hiking, animals, and crafting and recently started learning how to play the ukulele!

Describe your childcare style:As a caregiver, I am mindful, nurturing, enthusiastic and fun. I believe in nurturing the whole child with social-emotional, physical, creative and cognitive learning. I enjoy working closely with parents and keeping communication open. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of this role, and take it very seriously.

What activities do you like to do with children:For infant activities, I like to take them on walks, explore nature, attend story times, introduce music and art, sensory activities, movement, and baby sign language. For toddlers and preschool, I love making sensory bins, homemade playdoh and exploring process art. This is such a fun age to go out adventuring and learn about their interests! Interested in construction vehicles? Let's pack some snacks and go find a construction site to watch! I love to slow things down with this age, and go at their pace. Does that mean we hop off of our tricycle every time we see a rollie poly? Maybe! School Age- If time allows after the children's daily commitments I love doing art, going to museums or the library. We can arrange playdates, go for bike rides, and hopefully get lots of outdoor time!

Why are you interested in working as a Nanny or Babysitter? I've been a nanny for most of my adult life because I truly love it. Becoming part of a family and helping bring up their children is a very special role to play.

What qualities are important in a Nanny or Babysitter?Nurturing, creative, patient, understanding, punctual, trustworthy, dependable, enthusiastic, flexible, respectful, professional, organization, and time-management.

Additional comments:I know how busy life can be for parents and I'd love to help create a safe and loving environment for your children!
